The talking altimeter meets the ultimate flight computer… and together they’re changing the game for modern skydivers.
And honestly… the fact the
AON² X2 is SOLD OUT
tells you everything ![]()
![]()
These things aren’t just popular anymore — they’re becoming the go-to setup for serious skydivers right now. In one recent jump video alone… there were FIVE X2s in use ![]()
![]()
![]()
What makes it even cooler is how well the ARIA and X2 complement each other.
ARIA gives you intelligent audible awareness
X2 gives you visual altitude, GPS navigation, glide data, speed, heading and location awareness
Together?
It feels less like using altimeters… and more like having a full flight system built for skydivers.
The new AON² ARIA is getting SERIOUSLY close now ![]()

I’ve just received the latest prototype and honestly… we’re right on the edge of the final production version.
Over the last months I’ve personally put 300+ jumps on this thing, testing it properly in real-world skydiving conditions — not perfect lab environments, but the kind of jumps and situations we actually deal with every weekend.
And if I’m honest… the delay is probably partly my fault ![]()
![]()
Because I jump so much, in all sorts of environments, I’ve been uncovering those tiny little issues that might normally slip through unnoticed until AFTER release.
Instead…
They’ve been identified
Refined
Fixed
Improved BEFORE it reaches your helmet
That’s one of the reasons I rate AON² so highly.
They genuinely care more about building the RIGHT product than rushing one out the door ![]()
One of the biggest developments came through wider testing too. I brought in skydivers of different ages, disciplines and experience levels, and the feedback has been incredibly valuable.
One major thing?
More volume… but SMART customisable volume.
Not just louder — intelligent enough to adapt depending on what’s happening in the air ![]()
![]()
That feedback has already driven:
Software upgrades
Hardware tweaks
Overall refinement
Has it taken longer than expected?
Yes.
Was it for all the right reasons?
Absolutely.
And trust me… this thing has been worth the wait ![]()
![]()
Meanwhile, the X2 continues to blow me away.
After 37+ years in the sport and 11,500+ jumps, I’ve seen altimeters go from “that’ll do”… to full-on flight computers on your wrist — and the AON² X2 is genuinely one of the best I’ve ever used ![]()
![]()
First thing you notice?
The screen.
Big. Bright. Crystal clear.
Even mid-freefly… spinning, sun blasting the display, brain trying to keep up ![]()
You can still read it instantly.
No squinting. No guessing. Just clean, usable info.
But where it REALLY stands out ![]()
This isn’t just altitude… this is awareness.
Arrow pointing back to the DZ
Distance to home
Ground speed
Glide performance under canopy
Heading & navigation
Altitude up to 33,000ft
Real-world moment ![]()
![]()
The uppers were ripping ![]()
Ground looked MILES away…
Thought:
“Yeah… this could be a long walk.” ![]()
Quick look at the X2:
Direction to DZ
Distance
Speed
All good. Just moving fast.
Built properly too:
Waterproof (IPX7)
Battery lasts DAYS
Sunlight-readable display
When you’re flying at 120mph with your brain fully occupied…
Altitude awareness + location awareness = GAME CHANGER ![]()
Which is probably why…
THEY’RE SOLD OUT ![]()
